I'm Jala, a photographer based in the Charleston area, a Trauma ICU nurse, and a military wife. When I'm not saving lives, I am usually spending time with my little family or traveling. I love experiencing new places and my camera is always along for the ride.
Photography is special to me because I love being able to look back at a photo and remember that time in my life--the people, the little details, and how it all felt. That's what I hope to give you, too.
When you’re the one taking the pictures, it’s easy to have a camera roll full of your favorite people and very few photographs of you together (trust me I would know). Whether indoors or outdoors, a family session gives you time to step into the frame, enjoy your people, and let someone else capture the connection you share.
